Default help! chrome plating is peeling off :(

Hello,

I have a 2000 G3 Platinum with original chrome rims. The chrome plating is starting to peel of. I like my stock rims. Is there a place i can go to get it replated?

Thanks. BTW, I live in San jose.

I would think that that was covered by the warranty.

I brought my car as CPO. its still under warranty. I didn't know this kind of thing is covered under the warranty.

Thanks for your help.

If i get my wheels rechromed (Assuming that warranty does not cover this), i long would it take?

As long as there is no physical damage to the wheel ie curbing, I am prettye sure they will cover it as a manufacture defect. The chrome shouldnt just peel off.

Another option is to get a replacement wheel, do a google serhc on OEM wheel

here is one place that has them for 338.00 this may be cheaper than rechroming, I dont know what it costs.

Yup, i just did this morning. I emailed the service person at Lexus of Fremont. She told me that "we'll see" - she is checking on it for me.

I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Thanks for the support!
