yup, i dont even bother to put them on.
i was opening it in an exciting mood! then my mood went down hill, after i unwrapped it....
i am wondering how long does it have to expose under the sun to get that yellow?! my car dont even get yellow like this, i park 365days under outdoor(at least for the past 2 years)

i will try call Derrel again, and see what he can do about it.

well putting the kit under the sun might make it fade out, but i don't call that a good solution to the problem. it's just a way to get around the problem. so that means after time the whole side skirt will become yellow?

Unfortunately, your choices are probably to return it or paint it. If you are lucky, there is one there that does not have this problem. If both Ray and you got the same thing, Darryl probably got it that way from TRD. Remember , they are clearing this out. Even if you painted it, you will still have gotten it cheaper than many others before you (like me ). The skirts used to be around $600 when L-Tuned was still active.

Yea, i know they are clearing out, and i know they were above$600 , thats the reason i bought them.
And i dont really want to pay extra money to get them paint again, since my money is waiting for my next set of wheels

Well, unless your next set is also 18s, you may need some aero pieces to keep from having the SUV look. I don't think < $200 will eat in too much into your wheels budget.

I was installing the kit indoor, I didn't realize the color issue until I put them on and drove under the sun.

if i need to send back, I have to pull all those underside clips again

those are paint in the @ss to pull.

I'm afraid I have the same prob too. Just opened the box after reading this post. What a bummer! I hope leaving it in the sun will fade it out. But you're right, the Bay Area is not going to see any sun for a couple of days.

damn and I was gonna get them too....

I had a similiar problem with Darrell and my l-tuned 17's......they came scratched and nicked up and I called and complained to him that I bought used wheels and was told they were new...

he ended up giving me $100 back, or agreed to take them back

I ended up keeping them and taking the $100 credit

for the sides, I dunno what I'd do besides givin em back...to have em repainted is costly

do the skirts have clear coat on them? perhaps it's the clear coat that yellowed and we can possibly polish it off. anyone hear from Sewell yet on this issue?

Honestly, if the paint doesn't match, yea that sucks but look at the price. I ended up getting the white ones too just because color didnt matter (I have blue and didnt know I could have paid 80 more for the color match) I am taking mine to get painted. I think my white is perfect though. Either way, we all got a kick azz price...
