as some know (maybe not) i sold my 01 430 for $33,000 in prusuit of gettin a 02 mb s500 but when i went to look at it the exterior kind of turned me off but the interior is beautiful. the drive went nice and smooth but for some reason it didn't feel like it was for me. like when i first jump in the gs i was like "dam i need this car now" but when i got in the mb my mind was like " u sure u want this car?" so i guess it's clear that im gonna go with another 430 but my question is; this time im thinking about going to a side dealership ( like a mom and pop shop) because it's much cheaper then an lexus dealership. matter fact i found one with 35,000 asking $28,000 so my ideal is to buy it at that price and pocket the rest of the money. but can i buy this car and take it to a lexus dealership and their point inspection for a price?

Yes, the dealer will do the CPO inspection for you (not free though). Do it BEFORE you buy the car IMO, not the order you have it listed
No offense, but you seem to be doing things a$$-backward. Maybe next time you should have gone to the benz dealership first, test drove the car you were thinking of buying first, BEFORE you sell the beloved GS.
Your next purchase might be cheaper, but might not be as nice....

I dunno bro...test driving an S-class takes but an hour TOPS. I think your buddy could wait a little....
...oh well, we live and learn.
you're still gonna get rocked on taxes and registration. I recently just bought my GS and then wish I hadn't sold my IS. GS is great but my IS just sort of fit me better. Plus it was a bit more fun IMO. So i went shopping around to buy another IS but w/ all said and done... it just would of been a stupid move. So now i'm shopping for a bike.
