I am just wondering if any one has test drove the new Q45. I don't like it too much at all after a short 10 minute test drive. In short, it drives like a juiced up Maxima with some fancy gadgets. My major dissappointment is that the throttle has a 1/2 or 1/4 second delay especially from a standing still. It's got 40 extra horses than the GS 400/430, but you can't feel it at all. The salesman at the Infinity is so confident about their product as "there is nothing out there like it".
GS 400/430 is much more fun to drive to me. Well maybe Q45 is not competing with GS anyway, its main target is the LS 430.

Topspeed,

Exactly. Its direct competitor is the LS. Take a look at the LS forum. There are a few threads on the new Q45.

Default XENON LIGHTS

The 2002 Q45 claims that their XENON lights is the most powerful light in the world. It has something to do with 7 different lights turned into one, I dunno something like that. Anyone know in detail?

I don't like the shape at all, but the interior isn't bad.

I considered waiting for "The New Q" before I bought my GS430, but once I'd seen pictures of it I knew I couldn't bear to look at that grill day in, day out. However, I think the interior of the Q45 may be one of the nicest looking interiors I've seen! I'd love to have front and rear heated seats, rear passenger audio and climate controls, active dampening suspension, tilt-down side mirrors, etc. I don't like its nav system because it's not touchscreen, though. I also wish that my GS430 had some form of manumatic tranny, especially one like the Q's that's on the shift console instead of like E-Shift (I loved that feature of my Acura TL). Anyway, I'm glad I got the GS430 any way that it goes, though. Great looks, great performance, cushy luxury, and fun gadgets...
