Default Rim Center Cap Question

Hi All, this is my situation. I just bought these Maya rims, and F1 Motorsport had the front rims in house, and had to special order the rear rims from Maya. Now, the front rims have a center cap that is all silver, with a machined "Maya" in the rim, please see first picture.

Now, the rear rims have the same center cap, but the machined "Maya" piece is filled in with black paint or enamel. Is there any easy way to remove the black enamel/paint from those center caps? Please see second picture.

The reason I ask is because the all silver or plain center caps are older and discontinued, so I can't buy two other center caps. I figure my best option is to "fix" the rear ones....

If this doesn't make any sense I apologize. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Patrick

This is how the front caps are (which I want all to be like):

And here is the painted/enameled rear center cap:

If the rim is not painted silver, you could try using a cotton ball and paint thinner to remove it. Would not suggest this if your rim is painted as it will remove the paint from the rim if it drips, or you rub it wrong.

P.S. Love those rims, what is the price on them?

Default ive done it with giovanna rims for a customer before

first off remove the center cap, some wheels require you to have them off the car to remove it, pop it off from the back...........then try paint thinner or acetone, make sure the cap is polished and not painted as the paint from the cap will come off too.................if the cap is polished then you can take the paint off..........if not just paint your other ones to match.............
