Unhappy what to do???

im in a dilemma and don't know what to do. Right now i have a Gs and a honda prelude which is my project car( and by the way my work car, my gs is the weekend car). My girlfriend's friend offer to sell me his 93 Lexus sc 400 with 103k on it ( exterior: white interior:black) for 5k. My girlfriend think she can talk him down a litte since he been a friend of her's for so long, the problem with the sc that the leather seats are all cracked up the front lip need new paint and i think the hood is warpped (doesn't close to evenly) and it's been in a accident before. I do love the Sc's and always wanted to get one but with 5k i can add more stuff to my gs like ld 1's or even a supercharger or even turbo my prelude. I already have 2 cars and i think have a 3rd car would be to much, but i think 5k (or lower) is not bad on the sc and i hate to pass up a good deal. To my cl members what would you do, help me out on this one

IMO, pass on it. The car is probably worth about $4500 or less depending on the damage and then after you spend the money buying it, you have a 2nd project car (aka, money pit). Use the money to get your other car closer to completion instead!

At first I thought you were planning to get rid of the Prelude. I would ge the SC and get rid of the Prelude. The stuff you mentioned wrong with the SC is not major mechanical issues. Of course have a mechanic check out the car just to be sure. But if I were you, I would get rid of the Prelude and get the SC and fix it up. The SC has a classic design and will always command more respect than a Prelude.

Hi there

I would not buy the SC.

Based on what you told us, the car does not seem to be in very good condition.

Use the $5K for somethign else.
