aliga - I believe he didnt get the FM tuner installed yet, the unit was on back order..........the reception shouldnt be a problem since you can hook it up to the stock GS antenna

tal - yes with the TV tuner you can only get your locals[2,4,5,7,etc...]

The installation itself took me a weekend. The time consuming part was fabricating the case. It took me a solid week. I only had 1/16" margin of error. but since then I found a metal enclosure at digikey.com that might be a better starting point and cut the case fab time in half.

Default Din Insert

Hello,

Just wanted to inquire on how you went about obtaining that din housing for the monitor as i too want to add a touchscreen lilliput into my dash and don't want to go through that whole bondo procedure issue which i'm not too fond about and would like to avoid if possible.

Any information you can give me is greatly accepted and appreciated...

Thank you...

I'm attempting this same project and would like to know about the TouchScreen and Housing. THis would be greatly appreciated. I have a 99 GS300, was thinking to get the LilliPut and somehow mounting, just don't know where to start for the parts. I'm going with a preBuilt Mini ITX CPU, that should fit in the glove compartment. I will post pics to show progress.

Thanks all !

From the beginning I told myself that I wouldn't do it unless I knew it would look OEM. After I saw the LCD housing done, I knew the project was going to be possible and measure up my high expectations.
