Default The Time Has Come!!!

Okay CL,

The time has come. I have deliberated for months and narrowed the choices down to these two rims.

19x8.5 | 19x9.5
Volk SF Challenge - Chrome Lip, Custom Painted Color Matched Spokes, Carbon Fiber VR Center.

or

19x8.5 | 19x9.5
iForged Aero's. High Polish.

I am 90% sure of the Volks. I will buy them in Bronze/Chrome Lip and have them painted. RMMGS4 is the pnly person that knew about my choices and plans so "Thanks Glen for keeping the secret!!"

I value you guys' opinion and would like to hear your reasons for each choice.

SF Challenge Cons: Special order from Japan will take a long time to deliver. Initial bronze color may not look good with the Champaigne.

iForged Cons: Everyone is getting them and polish is high maintenance.

Thank you.

I vote for the Volks. Only because I have (waiting for) the Aeros Seriously though, they are both beautiful wheels and either will look great. Besides it isnt like you are going to see a lot of GS's around town with your wheels.

I vote for the Iforged...

I think the volks are too "racey" for the GS. I like a more classy looking wheel. When i think of those wheels i think of 240's/350z/supra... ect.

The Iforged is a very nice classy wheel. And they look very nice on the GS.

No problem Darius.

I think you have the Cons pretty well outlined.

The SF Challenge will be more rare, so it's only the waiting you have to trade off. It's not like everyone will have them. If you are willing to match up the paint to your car, then there won't be any issue if the bronze doesn't look good.

The iForged are destined to be a classic design, therefore you can't help but see more cars with them. So if you want to maintain your individuality, then the choice is simple. Polishing "is" a maintenance requirement, just like having a black car. Knowing you, I think you have other things to do with your time besides upkeep of the wheels, so practicality my override bling.

Not so sure about the Volks ... this style has been available for a long time.

One of the shops I know is selling the Volks (similar style, but different finishing/color) and those came of a Skyline. I asked him about these and they told me this style has been sold for over 8 years....
