Climate control fan on high

Last night as I left my house for work all of a sudden my fan speed turned on high by itself but the display showed that it is on low, I tried restarting my car but that did not work I even disconected the neg battery but all I get is high fan speed. has anyone had this problem before? or does any one know what can be the problem. I called Lexus and they told me that it could be in the climate controle ECU and if that is the case it would cost $1000.00 Can.

Yes, it can be the climate control ECU or the blower resister. I suggest to get proper diagnostic.

If it is indeed the climate control unit, try Ebay. I've seen some for $30. . . better than the $1K that you were quoted. Buy getting a proper diagnostic is always a good plan of action before replacing anything.
