Default 1995 sc400 Climate Control Fan stopped working

Heres my situation. I have a climate control in my 95 sc400 with a half visible LCD rest bled Black. About a month or two ago the Climate control fan would work normal and occasionally turn off and on when I would hit rough roads or potholes. Now the fan does not turn on at all! auto or manual control. The ac still engages but its no use since the fans are not working. Please help. the thread Ive searched had little to no replies. thanks

doesn't work at all??

IIRC there's two parts of the fan (electronically anyway) the transistor, and another piece (which the name eludes me). If the other piece goes bad, you should only have off and High.

However, with yours is not working at all, it maybe the other piece.

Or you could just have a failed climate control unit. I'd purchase another all together and try. However, all the years will plug and play, but you'll have an issue with certain fan speeds.

But at least you'll know for a fact if your climate control was bad or not.

Mine is the same way. I was told I had a short. Check your fuse.

Try checking the "Cigarette Lighter" fuse.

The whole unit won't work if that fuse is out.

It completes the circuit.

(This fixed my problem)

1. Check fuses. 2. Check connections 3. Check Motor. If motor is working, it could be the blower motor controller

Below is a video of testing a blower motor with the controller bypassed.

Hey Guys,

My fan actually works but surges from high to low and the fan button doesn't do anything. It seems to come on much slower now when the auto button is pressed. Anybody experience this???

I have a 1995 SC 400, 160K

bringing this back, my air hasn't blown for a year, since i got the car. i've checked the motor with the battery, it works, i've replaced the pancake resistor, watever it is called that's right next to the motor, and i've tested with a different climate control unit. nothing has worked so far. what else can i do to fix this?

anyone got any other ideas? i've replaced, at least i think i have, every component to the air system. tried a different air control unity, resistor (the little black box with 2 wires and a white box attached to it) the transistor (the pancake behind the blower motor with 4 wires) and i've tested the blower motor with the battery.

Hey Guys,

Did anyone ever figure out this issue with the blower motor not seeing power? I currently have the same issue on my LS400, Ive check all my fuses and relays, and replaced the following parts.

Resister
Transistor
Climate Control Unit

Any information would be greatly appriciated

Thanks,
