For everyone who did the Paint DIY on the taillights, I kno how a lot of you used tint, but i couldnt find that so i went ot my local hobby store and bought two types of paint. They are both poly carbonate and they are both transparent, but one color is Frost red, and one is Candy apple red? Which to use? If anyone has any input, or special techniques on how to get this done! Thanks
I use the candyappe red for my 00 tails to get rid of the orange.. this is what i did..
1)clean around the area you want to paint
2)get electrical tape and tape around the part u want to paint
3)get some newspaper and cover up the rest of the tails except that part ur painting
4)lightly go over the tails and let it dry (may need 2 coats)
If you do not like it you can always use goo gone to wipe it away...
I was thinking of doing this mod myself, not trying to go off subject but if my local hobby shop does not have any Spray tint, can anybody list some sites on where I can buy some?
