Hey I resent that, since I have a new F150.

Brendan, sorry to hear about that! I guess that truck's 'mod' wasn't stuck on properly!!!

We just drove 800 miles on highways in the F150 - thankfully no incidents.

just to my luck, after reading this post 3 days ago, last night i had a run in with a pole. i was in a very tight position and tried to clear this short wall that was perpendicular to the right side of my car and i had to turn right in a parking lot.. well, i did some maneuvering to clear the obstacle but apparently i thought i was clear.. however, as i went straight ahead, i heard a slight grumbling from the side of the car and i just cringed.. looking at the damage, it was only slight but the rear right fender had some scrapes and tiny amount of chipped paint. it didnt look that bad at first but my friend who owns a body shop told me that it was some amount of damage.. this curse sucks.. wish no one mentioned a curse out there to get us..

varcity64,

dude, yeah the fogs i get (yellow or clear) are oem lexus fog enclosures with harnesses and bulbs for like 180 and then shipping.

The body shop gets some large percentage off on dealer parts. For example, i can get any oem lexus alloy rim for 150 each brand new with a trade of the core ( the old wheel)

so no offense taken. your pretty defensive about the price you paid for your fogs dude. also, the onyl reason i offered was cuz brendans fogs were off my GS =P

robert, don't wish ill on others.

I personally don't buy into any 'curse' - I just think there's more GS owners on CL than any other model. Of the local meets we have here, there's been 3 IS 'incidents', and one GS incident that I know of (a minor one I had).

Real sorry to hear about your accident Brandan!!! Important thing as everyone else has mentioned is that you are healthy and fine!! Time to mod your bumper!

I don't buy into this "curse" thing either.

I am pretty sure that the term "curse" being used here on CL is not meant in it's strictest sense. Someone started the trend (I think 1SICKLEX) when he totalled his GS and everyone else is now using that word to describe accidents that have occurred to them!

yeah, i agree.

i dont think its a curse. I do have a theory tho:

its all about density and magnetic fields. We all drive amazingly cool cars right? Probably around 300x cooler than everyone elses.

so, all that cool condensed into one place at one time attracts the polar opposite, bad.
the bad chases us and sticks to us (much like the front of brendans car).

with all the good (how amazing our cars are), ther must be some bad

yin and yang?
light and dark?
good and evil?
