I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to install my sat radio. I'd like to try and install the antenna in the rear spoiler if there's room.
Does anyone that have repair manuals know if there is in fact enough room?? Anyone with exploded diagrams?? I'd like to know before hand so the work removing the spoiler is not wasted.

Metal hook??? I wasn't going for the easiest option. I'm going for stealth. I'm sure it'll take more work, but I'll be happier in the end. The tough part is going to be getting the unit in the dash.
I have mine mounted on the trunk lid, ya you can see it but I have no reception problems. I think if you mount if in that spoiler your reception will be diminished??

I have been told since the spoiler is made from fiberglass that have the antenna inside would NOT degrade the signal. I'm trying to find out if there is space inside, and how difficult the disassembly and reassembly of the spoiler would be, but I don't even want to attempt if there is no room inside.
The spolier sounds somewhat hollow to me. Anyone know for sure??
This is the PDF file of mouting info for the OEM spoiler--it is most likely hollow. I've added spoilers on previous cars before, and they all were hollow (why make something heavier than it needs to be?). Looking at it, you could probably take out the 3 screws for the LED portion, and see if you can get access from there (at least look to see if you have clearance before you take off all of the spoiler). Even then, the whole spoiler does not look too hard to take off.
Good luck.
