How do you make it so you can change destinations while driving. Is it just one wire??
Thanks

Looking to do this mod. I have the nav screen, the nav dvd unit, I just need the wiring harness and the antenna. Any good place to find these parts wihtout having to go to the dealer.

This thread is almost 20 years old. I don’t think you will get a reply from them lol. Now I’m wondering why did you chose to restore a stock navigation that’s 20 years old when you could’ve added a modern head unit that has car play, backup camera and navigation? When they did this in 2005 it was a good idea but not anymore with all the options available now

Well I came here when searching for this mod myself as well. Why? I am thinking of doing this, only because the factory LCD head unit has a way to display vehicle info, like the fuel consumption data. That's all I want, don't need the nav (surely it is outdated anyway) or anything, just that. The simple Pioneer head unit does not have the screen to display such infos, neither the instrument cluster has, which is terrible. And no modern head unit would do that either. So my only option is doing the NAV unit retrofit if I want that data to be displayed.

Yup. Look at GROM's solution. They work with the OEM navigation screen and support factory climate control functionality and trip information.
