Default cool new mod...round 2!!

Ok, I just got my interior pieces back tonight. I had them clear coated in a satin finish in order to make the brushed aluminum appear more like real aluminum. If you look at the picture that has the CF fuse box cover, you can see the difference between the high gloss clear coat and the satin finish.

Let me know what you think....these can be done in a variety of finishes...JDM blackwood is being copied as we speak...

Its funny, I went with the brushed aluminum look for 3 reasons...two of which you guys just said. I used to have a 330ci that I sold to a firend. He bought the facotry brushed aluminum for it after he bought it form me and it looked awesome. Then I was in my firends new A4, and was digging his factory brushed aluminum. I had all intentions of going with the JDM blackwood but decided to be a little different form what everyone else was wanting to get.

D...Im curious to see what it looks like once back on the car as well. The brushed is slightly darker than I thought it would be, but I still think its going to look bad as* once on the car. Im just glad that ugly as* wood grain is gone!

Jeff,

Good job, you never stop to amaze us. Can't wait to see those piece installed on the car. How about the shift ****? Aluminum or CF? How about the steering wheel?

Steering wheel is staying factory...all black leather....I would love to get my hands on one of the newer wheels.

Shift **** is still in debate...I think I might go with an aftermarket momo **** with black leather and brushed aluminum.

Im curious to know what these pices would look like in CF for the GS...I almost went that route, but I thought it was a little too racey looking for the GS....then again, it could look real good also.

Since it has a brushed clearcoat, i wonder if it will look like a factory sportline center faceplate, with that low gloss silver?

It has a true brushed pattern on it, so its definitely not smoothed out like the factory finish. Has a true aluminum look and feel to it.

Something tells me your already thinking about that though! LOL
