Anyone ever try this: shift boot for the shifter?

the NSX boot fits the rectangular shape of the shifter, however the leather is not as tall as it needs to be. Therefore when you shift into lower parts of the gear, like 2 and L, you'll be stretching it to the limit. I'm not even sure if they will be ok under that much stress.
When I had my boot made I especially told them that I will be shifting down to 2 and L alot, so they will measure it and make it right so it won't be stretched too badly.

Where and what kind of place can you go to get a boot made?
