Angry

I left my GS300 at Longo Lexus over the weekend to replace the driver's side speaker and upgrade the Nav. software. All the quarters in my coin tray were gone. Although there were only like $10, but I can't believe that they will do that at a Lexus dealership. I guess I need to "clean up" my car before I go there (or other Lexus dealer) next time!

Should I complain to Lexus or Longo?

Be careful guys!!!

Angry Complain!!!!

I would complain first to Longo and make sure that I received the amount of money "stolen" off of my next service or parts. Get a coupon so that they do not forget next time you come in for service.

If no one will satisfy your complaint then I would call up Lexus main service line to serve your complaint to them....

Let us know what happens as this is one for the Lexus Q&A's...

Angry thats foul

Yes you should complain.
It's not the amount of money, it's the fact that they aren't trust worthy. You shouldn't have to "clean up" your car before going in.

Ken

I am sure the dealership would want to know if they have a thief working for them. Notify them and do everyone (except the thief) a favor.

I have always been leery of leaving quarters and dollar bills with the car whenever I leave it for service, but I've never had anything stolen - consistently.

Sometimes, dealerships will employ very low-paid workers to do menial tasks, such as valet your car. I don't want to denigrate anyone or point fingers, but that's where I would first consider.

Red face Longo replay

The customer service manager called me this morning and said that they caught a thief regarding this issue after my complain. They intentionally left some dollar bills in a car and let this suspect drive it and then they caught him at the site. He believes that there is one more and they are in the process to catch him. Longo will keep me post it regarding this issue.

About 5 minutes after Longo called me, Lexus customer service department also contect me regarding this issue. I think they are serious about this.

I think I will give Longo a second chance!

YEAH! But just like 1SICKLEX mentioned, I also empty my car before I take it in for service.

Hahah... that's hilarious, they're running like an internal affairs sting operation...

Default Good going...

Longo Lexus should be commended for what they are doing. Most dealerships would not care ecspecially if the dollar value was just quarters.

Longo Lexus - Thumbs-up....

Definitely, your dealership played this one smart.

Obviously, they're on your side, especially on a matter that concerns one (or more) of their own people.

I agree with Mike, kudos to Longo Lexus.
