Moth *****

Moth ***** can be used to increase the octane rating of the gasoline your are using. The higher octane not only increases power, but will also increase gas mileage. The ratio is 5 moth ***** for every 1 gallon of gasoline. Place moth ***** in gas tank before fueling the car. Also add 1ounce of WD40 per gallon of gasoline. This will help remove water from the gasoline and make it ignite better.

( Note: The moth ***** must contain naphthalene.)
I know that you don't do it Pete, but for those do it or are thinking of it, wouldn't it seem easier to just get the naphthalene in a bottle instead of putting cotton INSIDE your gas tank? I wouldn't put moth ***** inside my gas tank--they cant' be removed unless you open up the tank. It woud be easier to add an octane booster in a bottle, or better yet, just use premium gas (what the Lexus manual recommends).

By the way, bmgs400, since you're using octane 89, your car's computer probably retards the timing a few degrees to prevent engine knocking (and reduces performance). Thus, you'll have a delayed response in your engine. Use quality supreme gas, and see if that helps.

Thanks SeattleGS, we shouldn't be cheap when feeding our GS's. I filled with 94 octane last night and I was using 87 octane...cheap stuff not good. I agree when you said the timing is being retarded some to prevent engine knocking. I remember reading that somewhere before. So anyway, I also pulled the ECU-B1 fuse and replaced after 20 minutes or so. This seems to make a difference, I can't really tell today with all the rain. I'll mash it when the roads dry.

Hey croz, how's the GS now?

I had a problem where my GS4 would lag most of the time, mainly when the car had first been started wether I was at a stop or pushed the pedal down while going 60... my problem to out to be a fuel regulator sensor..

Yeah! Hesitation is gone. Using 94 octane really changed my car. Acceleration and shifting is noticably much better.
