I have a 98 lexus gs400 with approx. 45,000 and I am encountering few problems with my car. When I am sitting at a traffic light in drive mode the rpm is idleling at 400-450 with noticable vibration in the car. I have taking it to the lexus dealership and they have ran multiple diag. test on the car and even replace few parts sucah as throttle body, and throttle position sensor. After replacing these parts the problem still exist and the dealer said that they might replace the ecu next and they come back in a couple of days saying that the ecu is ok and there would be no point replacing the part if it is not going to solve the problem. my question is can someone help me out with this problem or has exprienced a similar problem like mine?

I just have similar problem with my Gs400. Did you solve the problem .

Wow, this post is 5 years old. Do the search in " GS low idle" and you will find a lot of topics about this characteristic.

yes search on the topic, I had the same problems and cleaned this value type thing....I forget who posted it....but the thread is complete with pictures and it's at the top of the engine
