Default New Member Intro!

Hello, I am a new member here to Club Lexus. I've had my 2001 Lexus GS430 since 2007 and it has about 66,000 miles on it now, mostly having driven it in the summer and not much in colder weather. It is one of my favourite cars since childhood hence why I got it and hope to keep it for another 10 years. If anyone wants, I could upload pictures but it looks the same as any other silver Lexus GS. Anyhow, this was just my introduction and wanted to say hi. My everyday car is a Jaguar XF, which is similar to the Lexus on paper but is a very different car to drive.

not many 01’s with that kind of mileage so you definitely need to post pics.

Welcome! Cars with that low of a mileage are certainly getting hard to find. I'd love to see pics if you want to post some.

These aren't the best pictures so I apologise about it. It is always parked in a tight parking spot in my condo but I will take better pictures once outside. (Note that it is extremely cold and snowy outside so I probably won't take it out until it warms up a little.) Thanks

Were there different options for steering wheels? I have an 01 gs430 and I have the wood grain steering wheel, which sucks if you get clammy hands.

Yea that's the stock wheel with a cover. I swapped mine out to one of those.

Oh yes, sorry about the confusion. That is a full leather (not wood) steering wheel with a cover. I also use seat covers and rubber floor mats so there is as little direct contact with the car's surfaces as possible. I did want to add that it has the stock 16, 17 and 18 inch wheels. It is currently on the 18 inch wheels.

Where did you get the steering wheel from? I'm not a fan of the wood steering wheel but I like it more than a steering wheel cover

It came with the car, I think it was stock for 2001? I must have a base model.

I did want to note that the gauges are green, not white in the pictures. It showed up as white but it is green-tinted.

Phewww that's a clean ride! A lot of people would gawk at that, especially with the black interior. Props on having such a gem. No UV damage whatsoever either, that must be nice
