Default Torque converter questions

So when removed the converter I put it on a piece of cardboard and the fluid was sitting at the bottom of the neck then the next morning I went back in the garage and the fluid was overflowing out the neck is that normal or is the fluid supposed to stay down???

Not sure I understand your question, but the torque converter holds well over a quart of atf, so when a used gets removed and left on the ground, they can leak for days
