Hello, this is my first ever thread on any car forum so please be patient if at any point you get annoyed or bored while reading this.
Anyways, a few days ago I saw this beatiful red 94 gs300 with 82797 miles on it and my first thought was to buy it and turbo it. What do you think? What should I look out for if I decide to do it? I couldn't find a modern guide. Pls help. Also I want to keep the car reliable as it will be my daily so between 300 to 400 bhp? The Front The Rear The Rear 2: The Second Coming The 2J

Reason: Forgot to say a few things.
Any modification, especially of such magnitude, is a compromise with reliability, and it will require a good amount of prior experience. If it is your first car, it is probably not the best idea to jump straight into cars like this, better off getting something simpler, that won't be as hard to learn on, and that won't be as sad to part with should something go wrong, or it will be time to move on with something else. Experience comes from mistakes, without them, it is impossible to tell what is right, and what is wrong.
Besides, why would you need 400hp in a daily-driver..?
You need 400 hp in a daily driver cause it’s awesome that’s why. My daily is a 475 hp mustang and the aristo is soon to be 500+. A proper na-t setup dialed in by a GOOD tuner will not have a negative effect on reliability. If you buy this car I recommend sending an oil sample in for analysis. I use blackstone labs every other oil change. https://www.blackstone-labs.com. They will tell you if there is any metals in the oil such as bearing material or a camshaft eating itself away. They also look for excess fuel and coolant or anything that shouldn’t be there.
if the oil comes back good I’d boost it. In my opinion a old 2jz car is as simple as it gets. Exact same bottom end as the gte cars except for higher compression. Once again the tune will make or break you, find someone with a good track record and ask what they recommend.
One more thing, compression and leak down tests are also important to have done.
