Default 1996 aristo problems

Hey y’all not sure if this has already been posted about. If it has sorry for being repetitive. I have a 96 aristo 2jzgte non vvti auto. When I first bought the car it ran great no issues. About 2 months ago I started to have what I thought was a transmission problem. The car would run fine for about 20 min then I would lose reverse over drive and the car would stay in one gear no upshift or down shift. If I turn the car off and let it cool off it would do it all over again. So I changed the transmission but same deal. I thought maybe it was my ecu and I had mine rebuilt and still same issue. I tried someone’s else’s ecu and same deal even though I got a 61 code with this ecu. But I don’t get that code with my ecu. I have the traction control off light and the (!) light always on. So I am thinking it might be the traction control computer. So I ordered one of those and will swap it to see if it fixes the problem but not sure. Does any one know where this is located on the car and also does any one have any opinion of what else it might be that’s going on. I have also thought maybe my wiring harness is bad but know sure. Need help bad.

These are for a USDM GS300, but the location should be similar (just maybe mirrored to the other side?) It looks like its near the ECU.
