Default I know K&N makes a drop in for our car..

Last time I was quoted for a drop in K&N it was about 80 bucks. You can order K&N from almost any auto parts store these days. If you'd like to try something different, Tom's Racing makes a drop in for our cars as well. Theirs uses a foam core type element. Here's a link

changed mine last week, and it was quoted $60 for a K&N from Pep Girls, but I just bought a cheapo, because I'm not too sure whether or not they make a signifigant diff. in a car like ours.

Default Tom's STUFF

Is there a site in english about Tom's? Do they make other stuff for our cars? (not that I have the $$$, although that keychain might be in my price range)

Doesn't TRD make a drop in? Anyone know if it's worth the money? I just replaced mine with a Fram. The K&N's too damn expensive for an American drop in, and I still don't trust oiled filters. A new MAF is a lil outta my price range.

I got K&N FilterCharger drop-in air filter (part #33-2053 for 93 GS) from www.martelbros.com for $64 delivered. Didin't do much as far as performance, not sure about gas mileage. Reduced emissions to almost nothing!

I have the K&N drop in too. I bought it 3 years ago from a performance warehouse in the valley for $57. The hp increase is negligible (maybe 1-3hp), but I can clean the filter anytime instead of buying a new one whenever it gets dirty. I notice a difference in power after cleaning my filter. I usually clean it once a month because I do a lot of freeway driving and it gets pretty dirty.
