Does anyone have a write up for replacing Cam Seals.

here's a video, but they do not remove the cam shaft caps and use a special tool to remove the cam seals. I tried to find more, but my manual has nothing on it.

That is an awesome tool for removing the seals. I need to find one...it will save so much time for me at work!!!

My brother at toyota has one, and it worked great on mine, no need to remove the caps and re-fipg them!

I believe this is the tool:

Thanks for the info!! I will be ordering that ASAP. Even without that tool I never remove the caps to remove the seals though. You just have to be really careful and take your time.

look up jeffs garage on youtube 2jzgte videos and he shows this process in great detail.

What SuperSpree said, Jeff has a complete breakdown on the GTE but mostly the same. (On the 2j-ge i learned the hard way on the intake cam seal the tabs for the cap are fragile and subject to break easily when prying it off. Also use the Toyota FIPG only! That stuff is the best of the best, a lot of mechanics use it well beyond the toyota brand. Easy to do, just a pain to get to it to do it.
