My Climate control screen is almost completely black and needs to be replaced. Just wondering if anyone knows where to find a replacement screen. I have seen replacements for the SC300 and LS400 but those are to big for the 1GS. Thanks in advance for any info!!

 

If you look at this picture from jzs147.com, if you can find a monotone/single tone LCD screen from digikey.com or mouser.com with the same number of pins, and similar dimensions that may be a start.I think the white plastic around the LCD is just a detachable housing that lets a green led on the board shine through the clear LCD screen.

The easiest route would be to buy a working used climate unit from ebay for ~$65, and install it.

 

None available. No one ever made them, not enough demand

 

I will try and see if there is something that exists that may remotely resemble the factory lcd. If I find it I may write a tutorial. Currently I only can find lcd's for the 2nd gen GS300, and ES300.
