Just wondering if anyone still has a functioning factory keyless entry? I have been searching on the forums but I never find any definitive answers about programming and if the key fobs are still available? Can some post a pic of what the key fob actually looks like? Does the system beep or lights flash when the system is de/activated? Thanks in advance.

All we have is lock and unlock. We didn't get all the bells and whistles till second gen. It's that itty bitty button built into our key. If their was a way to program a different one, say from a 4runner, I would love to know. My 98 4runner did just lock and unlock but it actually beeped.

Ok so the button is actually built into the key. I thought it was separate. I have a master key but it doesn't have a button on it. I will call Lexus tomorrow to see what it costs.

Both my gs and ls have working factory keyless entry. That was a big deal to me when I bought them.

Mine works too. I just use my house key to hit the button. The outer most button fell off because part of the key broke.

Had one of my parts guys call Lexus for to check on the price of the key. First they told us $287 then $81 then he told us he would have to check to see if they are still available so he would call us back. Still no call back today but if they are still available and only $81 I will be ordering at least 2.

I have a 1993 GS with fully functional OE Keyless Entry. It will lock / unlock all doors only, no beep (Beep was added in 1995, at least for the SCs...). Key can be opened, I replaced a missing tiny rubber button and spring with some parts from another dead key. Check with your dealer, they might be willing to give you some dead keys to scavenge.

Good Luck!

Ok so Lexus finally called me back. They told me they only sell the keys w/ button in sets of 2. I am just wondering if you guys were about to get just a single key or did you have to get a set of 2?
