Default not sure

Don't quote me on this, but I think OBDII started in 95-96...

I would like to know for sure though

Peace,

Lyle

Default obd I

Gompka is right. The '93 is OBD1. If you search the forums for check engine light, you will find some posts that tell you what to do on OBD1 cars to retrieve the error codes.

Thanks for the info....

By the way do you or anyone know how to reset the airbag warning light on the instrument panel? Mine is on but the system is not malfunctioning. It has done this before when i mistakenly removed the fuse for that function but i had it cleared during a service i had done at a mechanic's shop but they charged me $40 and wouldnt tell me how they did it...(no **** huh) but they did state it was somewhat involved. He checked the code first and it read that the instrument panel had been removed that's why airbag light was on. Well, i did remove the instrument panel, to install part of my woodgrain kit which covers the instrument panel but is behind the clear plastic. Will resetting the codes correct this? or do i need to do something else?

i dunno for sure but i'm guessing reseting your ecu (disconnecting battery for a few minutes) should get rid of the light.
