Default Speedo/odometer problem

I own a 93 gs300 in good condition. Everything works great BUT the speedometer and the odometer. Both sensors have been replaced(brand new) and put in by a Lexus only shop.

The speedometer and odometer still dont work.

The shop did a diagnosis on the car and told me that the wiring was still giving signal and the dash must be bad.

Ive since got through 2 other dashes and I'm not so sure that it may be the problem? If it matter all the dash lights/everything but the odo and speed works on each of the dashes.

Any and ALL help would be greatly appreciated!!

(oh and the O/D light keeps blinking, if that means anything?)

Thats got to be in the tranny some were or either the harness or we have a/t ecu that can be faulty cause the o/d (over drive) is like a control for the tranny n i figure it controls the other sensors,do some research on the net n see what u find out .good luck

Pull the transmission codes ( this is causing your od light to blink ) I would bet one or more of the speed sensors are bad .for procedure on pulling codes check out lexls.com there is a write up somewhere on there

Ill check that thanks. I installed one of them myself and my mechanic installed the other sensor in, both are brand new :/.
