Default Any Drifters in here?

Are any of you hardcore drifters,(i am) i know the gs isnt the most balanced or best car to do it in but, why not. Im getting a 95 GS300 in a week or so, and plan on drifting that thing like theres not tommarow, hehe. Or does anyone have pics of a drifting gs/aristo? Only down side to doing it is that the E-brake is by your feet rather that by your hand making it very hard to do a pre-drift before a turn. By the way nice forum. Implanning on doing a 2jz-gte/6 speed conversion in about 4-5 months so stay tunned.

Default I do drift my ride....

Ive got a 94 GS3 and I drift it around on/off ramps etc...
The thing is so im-balanced and theres no aftermarket swaybars (getting some custom made though) that it takes some skill.
Also I dont use the ebrake but just let the engine do the work.
If Im entering a corner I plan for the drift mid turn-in by punching the gas geting the rear end to lighten up and swing-around.

Takes practice just be ready for her to come around full 360 !

Thanks guys, but if anyone else is interested i know a guy who has a shop he mostly does 2jz coversion into mkiii supras. This guy is going to do the wiring for my gs. He told me that he would do the whole convertion for 1500 thats all the custom parts and labor. Plus the engine and tranny. Thats really cheap this guy does good work too, he has a good rep. Thats including 1jz bell housing to shorten the 6speed because its too long, custom driveshaft and the hecktic job of wiring all that crap up. He has done SC-tt conversion before he'd be able to do in about 2 weeks. His shop is called C&N performance theyre in Miami. The whole conversion should cost me more than 5g's his website http://southfloridatuners.com/c&n_pe...e/default1.htm

dam thats pretty good deal.

but i'm not sure if you've driven a gs before. but a gs will take a lot of suspension mod for it to feel like you want it. this puppy has soo much body roll its not even funny.

I drift my Aristo every chance I get.... I used to 'try' and drift at the hot spots around where I live- with the Sylvia's and Skylines, but it's too risky of hitting a curb. So now mainly I just take most open intersections sideways. I have an automatic, and it takes time to learn how to break traction, but once you get the hang of it- you get madd props. It doesn't get any better than a S-drift in a big body!!!! Good luck - and welcome (from Japan) to Club Lexus. Nate

Haha thats awsome, i absolutly love drifting, i wish it was as big as it is in Japan. Instead we have to watch Nascar, its so lame they make it look like its so hard to drive on an oval track. I think the best drivers are rally and drifters. It takes alot of skill to drift a car smoothly. Ive seen japaneese street drift teams and its so awsome they ride inpacks drifting around town. Do you have any good jap drift vids or links. How are the police twards the drifters? Do you have wreckless driving fines or anything? Drift it easy man:

I'm surprised my brother, Link 13 hasn't posted on this- he has a GS for cruising, an AE86 Corolla GT-S for drifting... not that he drifts it very often- sort of 'high school.'

Please save stunts like this for an empty parking lot- the life you save could be mine.

Im not planning on going drifting on main roads in rush hour. Yes I will do it on plubic raods but only in say a wide 2 or 3 lane open intersection, with no cars, but thats only after that i fell that i have had enough practice in parking lots, to where i know the capabilities of my car and its limits. Yes I know alot of kids that see drift videos such as Initial D, and imediatly want to go drifting on their moms rear wheels drive Yukon. Im not like that althogh I believe it is less dangerous then street racing. Were I live we have quite of few nice intersections that are mostly desserted at night when i do drift there im going to have a friend at ther corner and we both will have radios, making sure that no one is around.
