I just put a mk4 supra wheel in mine. I like keeping the airbag functional in my car so I didn't look for aftermarket options

Default Interchangable steering wheels

What about the wheel from any SC 300 OR SC 400? Do you think any of these will fit?

they should. this is from that link posted right above

Which OEM steering wheels will fit the 1GS?
Any Lexus or Toyota steering should physically fit as they all use the same splines. This applies to other Lexus and Toyota vehicles as well. As a result, the main problem with retrofits lie in the airbags.

"Which OEM airbags will fit the 1GS?
First of all, you need to find an airbag that fits the steering wheel you are trying to install. Any year airbag should fit, but I will go more in-depth about this later in the thread. Generally, all pre-99 Lexus and Toyota single stage airbags should be plug and play for the 1GS because the connectors are the same. Single stage airbags have yellow connectors that are either big or small. Pre-99 single stage use the bigger connector and 99-01 single stage use the smaller connector. 02+ use dual stage airbags with black and red connectors. Also, you may need to re-use your cruise control switch if the plugs are different, but it is fairly easy to do with some common sense."

Do some searching, plenty of options.

You could also buy a Nardi, Personal, Garson/D.A.D., Vertex, Sparco, Momo, etc. Wheel and get a hub to fit it (Supra, MR2 hub will fit, Im using a supra hub, bolts right up)

IMO, the GS being the big body car it is running 16s or 17s you shouldn't go any lower the 45 series tires. Stick with 45, 50, or maybe 55. 16's on 40 series or 17's on 35 would be a

Mk3 MR2/gen7 Celica wheel is a direct bolt on with a harness adapter for the airbag available from Toyota, looks mouch more modern & feels far better.

Depends if you're using an OEM wheel or aftermarket. If you get an OEM wheel you wont need to buy a hub. but you'll have to make sure the air bag connectors are the same. And if not, you have to get and adapter. The info is in that link I posted above. I know 2nd gen GS steering wheels and 1st gen RX wheels will fit.

If you get an aftermarket, you'll have to get a hub and its most likely not going to have an air bag. NRG hubs fit a majority of the wheels out there. Momo wheels usually use Momo hubs but they also sell adapter to mix/match (i dont suggest them though). I went with a fixed Works Bell hub. If you go with a Quick Release hub, research. I've heard the NRG's will wear down after decent use and will cause play in the steering. Works Bell is the way to go but its pricey. Also if you get the "Qucik Release" you'll also need the short hub to attatch it to. Supra, MR2, celica, sc3/400 hubs will all work.
