Default Yet another problem, what now?

I swear I'm the luckiest guy ever, just got the car back from the shop on monday and now this, So I went to pick someone up, and this noise started coming from the engine bay, like if there was no antifreeze in the system, but the antifreeze is full, well as I got to the house it started getting louder and louder, now it sounded like someone was sticking a metal rod into a metal fan, drove down the street and it stopped, then the car was fine, got to my destination, dropped the people off, and then on my way back home it starts idling very low, I said well glad i'm going home, kept going and the engine shut off at a stop sign, I still got voltage as my lights were still on, so I tried pushing it to the other side (after attempting to turn it back on) and a guy in a golf comes by and asks what happened, so I explained and he said it might be the alternator going bad, he then said to attempt to turn it back on and slowly and roughly it turned on, this was the fastest i've ever driven home, anyways, this was the smoothest quietest ride I ever had in this car, I repeat, EVER, so I get home and pop the hood, my throttle wire was loose, so I tightened it (with the engine still on) then I started looking everywhere and there wasn't anything abnormal, then I turned it off and tried to turn it back on again, and it kicked over a few times, then the starter sounded like it was just spinning freely, tried 3 more times and finally started up as I was stepping on the gas on and off, well it was idling super rough, backfiring like 3 times per second and could barely stay on, I can hear something clanking in the engine bay, probably inside the engine but I can't see anything, do you guys have any idea of what this could be? Any help would be really appreciated!!!

It sounds like engine failure from the way you're describing it! It could be that maybe your ECU took a ****? If it was an alternator, chances are it wouldn't start again. Try jumping it and see if that helps, but I highly doubt it will...
Any check engine lights?

No cels, battery still alive, just tried again and turned on smoothly, turned off tried again and the starter made those sounds again and after a couple tries it turned on, ran like **** and turned off, this time it sputtered and turned off real rough, I even heard a sound that was very similar to a piece of metal being hit with a hammer three times while it sputtered off

Sounds like the starter thing is a separate issue. Any way you could get the start up/killing it on video? Its really hard to tell what you're describing through the internet

Don't do that then! That sounds dangerous!

I hope the problem is a simple fix...if not, it's just God telling you it's time for a 2JZGTE

I found out what it is!!! The noise was the timing belt tensioner bouncing back and forth, and the reason.for not starting was that the timing belt skipped a million teeth
