Default Is there an LSD available for a MK1 GS300?

Having pondered my GS's lack of dynamic ability over the last couple of weeks, checked the suspension bushes are all in order and made several attempts to get a nice rear-wheel-drive feeling from the car, I'm wondering if there is an LSD (Limited-slip-differential) that will fit the MK1 GS300?

When exiting a slow turn, it is almost impossible to get the positive feeling you get from an MX5 (Miata) or BMW. In cold or damp conditions you just light up one rear wheel. Doing so just makes the thing unpredictable and discourages enthusiastic driving.

So, is there an Aristo or Supra LSD I can fit?

sc300 diff w/lsd )rare, i think)
1st gen gs300 diff w/lsd (rare)

or buy a trd lsd, and swap it into your pumpkin

How about a Soarer auto? Did they have an LSD?

Gen1 GS300 never had an LSD, not even as an option.

As plkyone said, the Aristo in Japan had an LSD. You can use the MKIV TT auto LSD (not 6 speed LSD), SC's and GS's never had an LSD. Not a single one of them. Don't let that confuse you.

Thanks for the replies guys.

plkyone - Do you mean "no" the soarer doesnt have an LSD?

phamxOC - I'm in England so I guess shipping could be quite expensive. However, we have a TNT account at work I can use so it could be an option. I'll see what shipping would be and get back to you.

dont let carfreak70 confuse you. you can order a trd auto diff made for the sc300/gs300/mk4 supra(theyre all the same). heres the part number Part # TR 41301-JS401 and heres a link:

scroll to the middle of the page:

mvpmotorsports.com

search trd lsd for sc300/gs300/mk4 supra

yep, and some people on ebay have sold complete aristo rear-ends. I just wish I could have checked to see if they had the LSD in them.
