anyone running larger rear rims on their gen1's?
got myself in a bind and now am stuck with only 2 of the rights i want/need (19 x 9 work euroline type n's). anyone running larger rear rims on their gen1's? thinking about going 18 x 8 in the front and 19 x 9's in the rear. thoughts? are there any risks involved in this type of setup. I'm thinking it should be fine as it is a rear wheel drive car...no?

Why run 2 different size rims? I have 19's. my front tires are 235/35/19 and my rears are 285/35/19. i believe their both 19 x 9.5. the only thing i had to do was cut the piece that folds in over the tire in the rear and flare my fender just a tad bit and im good. im lowered, really lowered so there shouldnt be a problem if your riding stock height.
the setup i'm question would look like this:
18x7.5 with spacers (not sure what size?) in the front
19x 9 w (not sure what size?) in the rear
i'm really trying to make the best out of a ****ty situation. i intended going 19 x 9 and 19 x 10.

anyone have any thoughts? i have searched online and seen many do this with 350z's and rx-7's but i can't recall someone doing this with a gen 1 gs300. i don't have many options as I have 2 19'' rims that i want to rock but can't seem to come up with a matching pair aside from some 18 x 7.5's. i want to sit flush so I'm thinking about running 25 mm spacers all around as well.

I agree with the size difference, i think it would complement the car given the styling. I want to do the same but also run the staggered offset, deeper wheel in the rear to fill the width of the wheelwell. Stock the rear end looks too narrow for the car to me. plus the thicker lip in the rear would look sick.... wish i could tell you the numbers, when i figure it out, ill pass it on

Hi Guys, I am super new to the Lexus club, but got bitten by the bug by way of my brother. I picked up a 95 GS for real cheap, with 160k on the odo. I have the same plans of maybe running a set of 19s. Any thoughts on a the perfect offset?

Oh yeah and on my 1st Gen, I am running a 19 inch staggered set 24/30 f and 285/30 in the rear, I am kinda bored with that setup so I am going to run 19x9.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear with a 245/35 on the front and 275/35/20 on the rear. I just bought my 1st Gen so they are sitting on the TT springs that I had on my SC in the picture. I am going turbo-vip'ish.
I hope the info helps.

With a slight fender roll I am running 19x9.5 +12 front and 19x10.5 +12 rears. Fits perfectly. However on my last white GS I have 19x10.5 +20 front and rear and it looked nice too. Pretty much whatever will fit on these things. Working on a 2nd gen right now w/ 19x11 front and 19x13 rears -15 offset... We are making these fit, but at the end of the day...They fit.
