has anyone done this mod on their lexus cars?
i understand that you can do this mod to supra (turbo or non-turbo) but is it also applicable on ours? will it make that much difference on hp gains?
tks....

what mod are you talking about? The egr blocking plate? If you use this, the car will not pass emissions testing. Additionally, egr is used under part throttle and cruising, but is turned off under full throttle so it shouldn't effect total power output.
I was interested in removing the egr tube inside the intake manifold to unblock the airflow, yet I want to keep the egr functioning.

tks fr yr reply, dude..
i want to do this mod w/o taking the whole egr system out by just blocking the openings with those plates. i dont want that
extra heat coming back to the cylinder head which i believe ruins the nbr 5 or 6 cylinder the most fm what i've heard. if u know more about this mod, kindly tell me more.
tks, man!!!

This mod only applies in turbo versions of this engine. Our cars make mid-grade horsepower from an engine that could take more than 350 hp. Blocking the egr will make no difference at this power level...it will only prevent you from passing smog inspections.
If you notice, the egr connects to a 1inch diameter pipe that goes across the inside of the intake that disperces the exhaust gases in the center of the incoming air. I was wondering if there is a significantly smaller sized pipe that can do the job without restricting the incoming air.
