some did, some didn't.

my car didn't have one, but now has one, as of a year ago or so.

on the "VIN" plate on the firewall, it'll say, either A01A or A01B

Remember,

"A01A, let one wheel stay, A01B, the LSD shall be"

nice thanks for the info. Is there any way to tell by looking at the differential?

and whats the benifit/ advantages of having it? Does both wheels will spin at the same time with it or the other around.. how much does it help performance wise, like is it necessary to have it?

Its out of the car but the seller will not let me open them. He has 3 but i dont want to randomly buy one with an open differential.

The benifits of having one is that you have better traction. A lot of people say its so much more fun to drive with one, but if your just driving your car then theres no point in having it. I have the intention of drag racing my car once every while so i would really benifit from it.

soarer: chances are he has 2 open and one LSD, so if he has an LSD and open, chances are the LSD will be the one that's different,

I say bring a bunch of diff oil with you, and tell him you'll fill them back up, unless he can garuantee that they are LSD's and will refund your money if they're not.

I'm sure there's a way to tell if you have some side by side, i think the main thing is the cooling fins or something on the b ack towards the cover plate
