Default The Noob needs help

Hello CLF

My name is Mike I am new here I am a proud owner of a 93 Gs300
I have been a Honda guy for the past 10 years but the time has come to move on. Lack of sleep (due to thives) I sold my 93 Boosted Civic and got this so I am the NOOB...

I have some questions see if anyone can help....

1. Will the rear diff of a 99 GS300 fit in a 93 Gs300?
2. Do the sell coil over kits seperate from the struts? I just got some new kyb's dont want to buy struts again.
3. What kinda mods are recomended for the Gs300? Not too big on the bling bling would like a more sporty look.
4. Any do's and donts for these cars? Like ricer or idk.
5. Any good sites to get parts online?

Well thank you for taking the time to read this sorry for the crapy typing

First thing I would is a major service, under the hood looks neglected so I would start there. Plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, get your self a new air filter and intake piping if you can. Well you know the routine, start there and then move to suspension components. This is what I'm currently doing and it makes a big difference. I came from hondas too, Just remember it's not a Honda so parts are alittle harder to find and more $$. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

1. Will the rear diff of a 99 GS300 fit in a 93 Gs300?

Maybe. Most likely it will, but my question is why? what are you trying to accomplish?

2. Do the sell coil over kits seperate from the struts? I just got some new kyb's dont want to buy struts again.

You mean like the honda cheap "coilovers", the ones that they sell the spring on an aluminum threaded casing? Nope, no such thing for this heavy car.

3. What kinda mods are recomended for the Gs300? Not too big on the bling bling would like a more sporty look.

It really depends on what you are trying to achieve. Fortunately, the GS300 is not a bandwagon car (please don't take offense, hear me out): the GS300 car is very exclusive, there are not a lot of mods out there, and honestly, it is one of the very few cars out there that lowered with wheels looks awfully good (scarface vip is a great example). If you want something more unique you will have to make it or fab it.

4. Any do's and donts for these cars? Like ricer or idk.

I don't really understand this question but let me tell you: be happy with what you do to your car. To me, there are no rules when it comes to modifing a car. Your taste and your satisfaction is everything. If you are trying to build a car to make people happy and always evade negative comments, this is the wrong platform car unless you just lower it, paint it black, get some wheels and call it "built".

To me, the whole idea of building or modding a car it not to make something cookie cutter, something it has been done already, but to make something unique and that it looks good according to your view.

As a car builder myself, I hope this helps you out

5. Any good sites to get parts online?

l-tuned is one of my fav places, but it really depends on what you want to buy.

I really hope my .02 helps buddy, and welcome aboard!
