Today I'm coming back to work from lunch.
I pull up to the traffic light, and next to me
is a money green 1st Gen. GS. It has 20'
Giovannas on, a body kit, tinted windows.
The whole nine. By the way the body kit
was not as nice as the one Todd has on,
but it did do this car justice. So anyways,
I see a guy and a girl in the car. His windows
are half way down.
So I roll down my window. I look at the
and I say, "Nice car, duke. I like your rims
and the body kit is phat." Now after I said
all that. He looks at me, and then just turns
away like I don't even exist.
WTF? Some people should not even drive
a nice car like that.

you were in your first gen right??? dude that just wrong. sometimes i will be bumping my music half way and havei had people drive the exact same car as me drive by me and give me the thumbs up. we would drive for a couple of blocks side by side. this middle age african american man even rolled down his window and said nice car. this has happen to me like 3 times now in the last 10 months that i had my car.

 

should have raced him....

Jmai, yes I was in my GS.
Blue wax, I did race him.
But he took off very nice and slow,
I guess his car was not juiced up or
anything, so he did not even try it.
But I just felt sorry for the car. It's been
in the hands of this ignorant **** who
knows how long.
Anyways, f**k him, he does not know
what it is to be a part of the 1 Gen. Family.

 

just another example of a red-headed step-child. i see lot's of those first gen's around here in chicago. i don't even want to talk to them and hope they don't see the clublexus sticker on my car.

 

I usually ignore the Ricers that pull along side trying to get a race. They're extremely annoying!

But I always acknowledge another Lex. I also end up talking to people in other cars at least twice a week who like the car and just can't figure out what it is.

Guys like that just don't have a clue.

i definately hate that...

some lex owners are cool... but the one's i've noticed are the biggest ******, are the 2nd gen gs owners. i totally get no respect from these guys... i'll be the first to acknowledge a fellow lex owner... especially if their ride is tight, but then alot of times, i just get that hatin' *** stare down...

 

20" Giovannas? Hahaha...I would of laughed at him because he thinks he's pimpin' on some pathetic wheels...I'm sure the body kit was of the same "quality"....probably a Erebuni or some other knockoff bullshiat...

Sorry, for me, I'd rather see a clean STOCK GS than some jacked up one on Giovannas (was it even lowered or did they have typical 4x4 look)

You guys know I respect the JZS147 GS's (even as a UZS161 owner) but I see lot of GHETTO JZS147 GS's...here's the MO...

Most likely a high milage beaten and probably salvaged JZS147 GS with 20" chrome uglies (usually from some crap brand like Lexani, Giovanna, Alba, etc.), not lowered, super dark tint, with some crappy "bumps" bumping some crap rap (well, most rap is crap nowadays...) and a horrible paint job (not necessarily the color...usually a stock color...just a bad repaint)...I see at least one a day....

A couple of them even tried to race me....20" chrome cast wheels with a anemic 220HP I6...uh...oooookkkaayyy....I'd love to catch one of these jokers in a canyon....

It's sad to see so many JZS147 GS's go to pointless people...I want to see more well done ones on the road...honestly, these type of people give the GS a bad name...same kinda thing with the JZZ/UZZ30 SC's...outside of our little Lexus circle, a lot of people don't respect the older Lexos because of these kinda of dipsh!ts...

Manaray, I was clicking on the Aristo website yesterday and you're right, they're ALL ABOUT the BBS wheels. Almost every single hooked up Aristo had them that I saw.

 

The only I6's I fear are turbo charged one... Actually, I don't fear them, I respect them.

As for BBS...yeah, Japanese love BBS...BBS makes some good wheels but honestly, they don't really blow my dress up....
