hey guys my name is Hunter and ive used this forum for years to help with my gs300 but i never felt my car was worthy to be on here, anyways to make a long story short my gs was stolen on new years 11' and i just got it back.... 20's-gone, alpine deck-gone, and the front end was all messed up like they ran into a parked car, the 3 inch megan racing/custom cat back was hanging by the weld to the mid-pipe and well you get the idea... its jacked, i almost just left it at the tow yard but i brought it home and im starting over on it, bigger and better now for my baby. its a 95 loaded black with 170k on the clock. i would load a pic but its so ugly right now yall would prolly ban me from this forum...haha. well i just did the distributor oring, cap/rotor, plugs and wires. also did a oil change since the thieves didnt feel like they needed to maintain it , and today i took the lca's (number 2), out for bushing replacement experiments. i will keep yall posted on what happens next in my repairs and hope i can contribute to the forum and help keep the 147's around. Thanks guys have a good day
thanks, it holds a special place in my heart because i bought it with my DOD payoff when i got out of the Marines. i hope i never have to part with it, i cried when they stole it... and i almost gave up on it but when i got the call saying they found it and i was so happy to have it back. not sure if i uploaded the pic right but here is the way it looked before it was stolen- just got wheels and hadnt lowered it yet.
just dropped the front lca's #2 at the machine shop, guy there said the bushings look like a direct replacement and no modifications should need to be made, we measured the collar for the caster adjustment bolt due to some other people on here saying the bushings on ebay didnt fit due to improper fitment. i should know tomorrow if it all works out. fingers crossed!!
btw: i got the busings on ebay for $70 for both sides, found them under "strut rod bushings gs300" i double checked with the seller before buying that they were "guaranteed" to work on 93-97 only. we will see....
