the other day my check engine light came on and the car was at a rough idle and as i drove it down the road it felt as if i was pulling a boat behind me it was so sluggish and the motor wouldnt go past 4k rpms it would rev up to that then sound as if it hit a rev limiter but was still building boost? then i shut it off let it cool down and it drove great for the rest of the day then the light cam back on and the same problems started again. anyone have some sort of and idea as to what may be the problem?

 

i also put a scanner on it but i couldnt get a reading at all so i took it to a buddys shop and they took a look at it and said that the sensors (cam o2 tps etc.) were fine but it could be in the ecu. so i was going to have them install the map ecu i just bought but they cant seems how i have 2 ecu's for the car one being the 1jz and the other is the factory lexus ecu and only half of each is connected
