Stock Engine Swap Help!!
Since you seem to be one of the only people I have seen on this fourm willing to help I said I would reach out to you for some more help.
Here is where I am now.
I have finally gotten the new engine in.
The car will not idle for anything. The idle is low. I have been adjusting the throttle cable to keep the car running. The fumes are deadly. Engine seems to run fine though. I am no longer getting black smoke. I think that issue was with the injectors. I changed out all 6 and still had black smoke. I think that gas was getting into the oil because I changed it today and it was completely black. I put fresh oil in and only have been running the car to tune it. I put new oil in the engine and the black smoke issue seems to be resolved. I also replace the #1 plug with an irdium plug. I then ran the car for about an hour and the removed the plug and it was not fouled at all. So I will purchase 5 more plugs. Before I took the old engine out the fumes were nothing like this and the car idled just fine.
I am having an issue with some deadly carbon fumes. My connectors broke off my O2 sensors so I repaired the wire and connector. I suspect my issue is with the 02 sensors. I am not sure. How can Ibe sure without throughing money at the issue?
Thanks In advanced
