Default Traction control

Hi Guys,

This may sound stupid to you guys but I just want make it clear about traction control on my car and how does it work? I have a button on my cluster gauge TRAC, when I push it nothing display or happen, perhaps bulb have burnt out, been told by other guy. This is my first car that have TRAC on it. Can some tell me exactly how TRAC works? Does it supposedly stop my rear wheel from spinning when ? I'm in Minnesota so right now it's cold and snow, when it's snow my car won't want to move. Thanks in advance.

its basically another butterfly valve in the throttlebody so when your rear wheels start loosing traction that butterfly closes and cuts air into the engine which stops you from accelerating and spinning the tires even more. its not the best traction control system out there but it works!

BTW what i described above applies to the 2JZGTE turbo engine.. im not 100% sure if the 2JZGE NA engine uses the same system
