hey guys , my radio , telescopic steering and dome lights went out, replace the fuse and it blew again. so im pretty sure i have a short, any1 have an idea where to start looking for it (details plz).

 

Well, what things do you have in the car that dont belong on itr?

Aftermarket headunit?
Aftermarket alarm?
Something plugged into the cigarette lighter?
Hacked any wiring in the past?

^^ look into those things first

Battery termials loose?

Barttery itself loose grounding out to the underside of the hood?

Door and trunk wiring harness iffy? (esp trunk)

and crazy lighting mods?

Using the 12v from the cig lighter to trigger any other relays etc?

 

No aftermarket alarms or anything. I have my safc and my guages wired up to the power on the ecu and thats about it. But my radio/dome etc.. all went out before I put in those stuff anyways. Wheres the wire for radio/dome ? Maybe i can follow it to the short

 

Maybe a bad batch of fuses, I remember I had the same problem once. Got a pack from Walmart all went bust, got a pack from an auto store and it worked fine. My car has HID's and Leds in the car that probably short when the wiring moves.
