Default Installing 2din Navigation system. Help

Hey,
I hope you guys can help me out. I'm tried searching but couldn't find anything solid.
I'm installing an after market head unit, JVC-nx7000, with navigation but I'm confused on how to install it. Right now i'm not trying to improve the sound system, so i'd like to stay with the stock components, sub, amp and speakers. Can this be done?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't done this but I am interested in doing the same thing and I have done a little research. It appears there are not plug an play adapters for these cars. With that being said you will, that is if you plan on using the stock speakers, run line level leads from your radio to the trunk. Figure out from a wire schematic all of the speakers and wire them directly to the head unit.

To answer your question directly it is possible.

Default subwoofer

You will need an additional amp to get the subwoofer to work in my opinion.

What I would do is take the negative from either right or left rear speaker and tap it. Take the positive from the opposite rear speaker and tap it. Run a high to lo level converter. Crutchfield sells this, just type in line converter, this will give you your RCA plug in's. Obviously you will need to run you some power and ground cables.

All this should be able to be done right there at the old amp without running any more wire throughout the car.

If you are using the factory amp, I am guessing the amp is going bad. These cars are notorious for leaking water into the trunkwell. When I bought my car the line noise was intolerable. I ripped out the factory stuff and installed a Pioneer head unit. The factory amp looked like it came out of the Atlantic Ocean.

I have the plug and play unit that I know works on an aristo.. I'm not sure about GS but I think it's the same... It's from beatsonic in Japan. I'm willing to sell if someone wants it... it' cost me 250$ form Ryinka (got it form Yahoo japan)
