Default Car trouble help please!!!

I just recently bought a 93 gs300 with 200k+ miles. Its been running great until today when i tried to start it and to my surprise it would not start. Instead of hearing the engine roar like I normally do all I could hear was a feint clicking sound. WHATS WRONG WITH MY BABY?!?!

Could be any number of things, but it sounds like a dead battery. At least, that's the easiest place to start and easiest problem to fix. If the battery checks out, maybe it's the starter. Starter failure is pretty common in these cars.

Go figure!!! you buy a used car with 200,000 miles and it goes on you... I hate when that happens.. Did you ask the person you bought it from, if they kept maintenance? you know what NM, they will always tell you yes regardless ikf they did or not. Check the battery posts first, starter second.. Good luck. keep us posted

the lights in the car work.. but im thinking the battery may not be strong enough to start the car? And if not can someone give me an idea about how serious a problem it is that my starter does not work and how much it would cost to fix?

and they did keep maintenance i have all the papers showing they did

since you dont got the jumper cables on hand try see if you can find the starter in the engine bay and give it a good tap with something solid ie: ratchet tire iron while someone tries to start the car. if it works then the starter is going bad

Can anyone give me a estimate of how much a new starter would be including labor? or if it would be possible to fix it myself without having to get a new starter.. any help would be greatly appreciated
