Stock Alarm/ Keyless entry?
This may sound silly but how would I know if my '94 GS had an alarm and keyless entry from the factory? I have a security light on the dash and some switch that says remote on/off. My key has a small head w/ no button but Ive been told that thats the backup key because, a couple people I know with Lexus' of the same year have the one I have plus the keyless entry key. Thanks in advance for any help.

you can sometimes find them on ebay and then you can take it to the dealer to reprogram it. i have a friend that works at the acura/honda dealer and he is trying to find out how to program the key to my car.....if i find anything out i will post up how to do it..hopefully he finds out!

New here; I have a question about the stock alarm/keys.
I used to own a 1999 IS200, had some alarm issues, but could avoid setting the alarm by just using the space/sub key (without the remote lock/unlock buttons).
For 1st gen GS300, I want to know if the alarm is always set when locking, whatever key you use (so also set when manually locking with the sub/flat key?)
Or is the alarm not set using the sub key, and only set by using the master keys with wireless buttons?
Thanks!

Hey guys... i have an issue....
I do not have a master key for my car when it was bought so the key i now have only opens the passenger door.. it doesnt open the driver door/trunk/ nor does it lock the trunk from inside the vehicle...
i accidentaly locked keys in car...
got a lock smith to open it up.. when we were opening the doors they kept locking (of course with the factory alarm going off)... so we eventaully got the door open so i could get ma keys...
now the car wont start..
do i need to reset ecu n let the vehicle sit with the ignition on for a while before i restart vehicle ?
