Does anyone know if Toyota Steering wheels can be installed in our 1st Gens?? How about an Aristo Steering wheel off of a 2000 model??

Most toyota's and the aristo wheel will fit just the airbag might be an issue make sure it is single stage

ive seen the 2nd gen steeringwheels put on the 1st gen ... ill see if i can upload a photo of it for you....

ok how do you take the steering wheel off? like how do you take the airbag off to get to the nut? im scared of the airbag exploding in my face!

and does the 2nd gen wheel come with radio controls?

To properly discharge the bag disconnect the battery terminal and the hold you brake pedal for 10 seconds to release any residual power. To remove the stock bag remove the plates on the side of the wheel one left one right the you will see 2 star type fasteners pull those and you will be able to pull the airbag out. Once out you will see the single 17mm nut(if i remember correctly) holding the wheel pull that and disconnect the plug in the center(cable rail) you wheel should pull off. Hope this helps!!!!!!
