98 gs300 code problem
Hello all,
I'm new here and need help locating the o2 sensor on my gs300.
Code is po155 ho2s heater circuit malfunction bank 2 sensor 1.
I tried searching the forum, but didn't find an answer.

Hi. The 98 is a second gen GS, so you'll see more response in that forum. I think the mods will move this, so there's no need to repost it there. The complete troublecodes are listed here at the bottom of the page (for OBDII):

Thanks for the reply and info Link13,
I wasn't aware that it is second gen.
I'm kinda new at the Lexus thing. My buddy lent me his code reader, that's how I found out that it has a bad sensor. I'm just not sure about the bank 2 sensor 1 thing. How many 02 sensors does thins thing have?

From what I've read, you have 2 sensors; 1 pre-cat and 1 post-cat. You can find more info by searching the GS-Second Generation forum for oxygen sensors and O2 sensors. Here's a thread I found where a guy did a pretty detailed write up of a DYI O2 sensor replacement:

I read that thread and another in the second gen forum.
If I get it right, bank 2 sensor 1 would be the rear exhaust manifiold, pre cat sensor. So I'll try that one and see what happens.
