Default Front strut bar

I got a TRD front strut bar from a cl member and im gonna put it on soon. but what i wanted to know was if its better to put the thing on with the front jacked up or on the ground. or will it matter? i read somewhere that to get the full potential out of it, its best to put it on with the front jacked up. anyone heard of this?

You should jack the car off the ground in order for the bar to do whats its supposed to do, otherwise it will be there just for looks..
