Can any one tell me if this is a dealer ite only,called several parts places,and they have no reference for it,Called lexus,and they one $195.00,car is 93 gs300.

They rarely go bad. Call a bone yard. I just sold a used GTE fan and clutch for $100 shipped.

is there a test you can perform, I Tested with news paper to see if i could stop it,and i did,So i assumed its bad,I have the problem were the fluid is boiling in the reservoir,could also be the water pump.

Is there evidence of fluid leaking from the clutch? If you can stop it with a newspaper, odds are it's shot.

Well if there is no black goo around the shaft, then it's the thermo spring or the valve.

You did the newspaper when it was fully hot right? The clutch doesn't full engage until the temperature is about 200 degree.

the spring and the valve are part of the fan clutch right ?

Yes, a fan clutch works with fluid. As it heats up the spring tightens the clutch together. That way there is less drag when cold and better cooling when hot. Does it spin at all or really slow when cold?

yes it spins,not sure about when its cold,it does not seem overly slow,just has no force behind it,and i think it should really cut in when its cold,I have a ls430,and you can really here that when it kicks in.

It's fluid, spring and a valve. If it were me, I'd buy aftermarket. Not a whole lot of parts that can go wrong. That's if it were me.
